Ascott Scales New Heights in Europe with Seven Fresh Openings

Ascott announced a major expansion of its European portfolio with seven new properties across Vienna and Seville. This significant growth will add nearly 1,100 units, boosting Ascott’s total presence in Europe to 64 properties with close to 8,500 units in 26 cities across 10 countries.

Globally, Ascott now manages over 1,000 properties and 175,000 units, highlighting the company’s strong foothold in the hospitality sector.

In Vienna, Ascott has deepened its partnership with VIE Trust Real Estate Group through the signing of five new properties. The additions more than double its portfolio in the city to nearly 1,400 units across nine locations.

Among them is a second Lyf-branded property set to open by the end of 2026, conveniently located near a notable train station and shopping centre. This expansion strengthens Ascott’s position as one of Vienna’s leading international hospitality operators.

In Seville, Ascott is launching two new properties – a 250-unit lyf and a 120-unit Somerset – within the landmark Lagoon City development.

Just minutes from the city centre and close to an 18-hole golf course, the resort will feature a man-made crystalline lagoon, residential units, and extensive leisure facilities. Set for completion in late 2028, these will be Ascott’s first beachside resort projects in Europe, expanding its Spanish portfolio to three properties.

The lyf brand continues to gather pace in Europe with the opening of lyf Gambetta Paris, Ascott’s first in France and third on the continent. Located in Paris’s lively 20th arrondissement, the 140-unit property has already built a strong community through curated events and shared social spaces, including coworking areas, a communal kitchen and a gym.

In 2026, lyf will grow further with four new openings, including a major transformation of the Stamford Bridge Hotel London in partnership with Chelsea Football Club.

Ascott is also expanding The Unlimited Collection, its brand known for culturally immersive stays. The collection now features three distinctive European properties – Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh, Temple Bar Hotel Dublin, and the soon-to-reopen Grand Hotel Leicester.

Each celebrates local culture in its own way, from Edinburgh’s whisky heritage to Dublin’s live music scene and Leicester’s Art Deco charm.

Beyond new openings, Ascott is also rejuvenating its existing European portfolio to maintain its competitive edge. Major refurbishments are underway across Paris, London and Berlin, ensuring that long-standing favourites such as Citadines République Paris and Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden London remain aligned with evolving traveller expectations.

This balance of expansion and reinvestment underscores Ascott’s commitment to sustainable, long-term growth across Europe.
