The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has unveiled the six companies selected for the inaugural pilot of the Malaysian ASEAN Business Entity (MyABE) initiative, following remarks by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) International Conference today.
The initiative, first announced in the MADANI Budget 2026, recognises Malaysian companies with strong regional presence and potential to expand across ASEAN. Companies granted MyABE status are divided into two categories: MyABE-PLCs for public listed companies with established regional operations, and MyABE-MTCs for mid-tier companies demonstrating high growth potential.
The first cohort includes three public listed companies: CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, IHH Healthcare Berhad, and Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad, alongside three mid-tier companies: Aonic Sdn Bhd, MECIP Global Engineers Sdn Bhd, and NSW Automation Sdn Bhd.
SC Chairman Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi highlighted that the MyABE programme recognises Malaysian champions that are expanding beyond borders and contributing to regional growth.
“Their expansion strengthens ASEAN supply chains and drives growth for the wider region. This pilot will help us fine-tune the support needed for more companies to do the same, while facilitating the movement of skilled talent,” he said.
