The Health Ministry (MOH) will undertake a comprehensive review of its nationwide mobilisation of healthcare personnel, aiming to refine deployment strategies and improve service delivery at government health facilities.
In a statement, MOH said the study will assess the impact of current mobilisation efforts and evaluate their long-term feasibility.
“MOH remains committed to continuous improvements to ensure the delivery of the highest quality healthcare services to the people,” it said.
The review aligns with Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Seri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar’s recent announcement that public service delivery is being strengthened through strategic redeployment of staff to areas with higher demand.
At the National Convention on Public Service Reform on Dec 7, Shamsul Azri revealed that 380 medical officers have already been mobilised across headquarters and health facilities.
The exercise also includes the redeployment of nurses and assistant medical officers from the MOH headquarters.
