METMalaysia has issued a strong wind and rough sea warning across multiple maritime zones in the South China Sea, with hazardous conditions expected to persist until 13 December 2025 (Saturday).
The agency placed Condore and parts of Reef North under a Category Two alert, forecasting 50–60 km/h winds and waves of 3.5 to 4.5 metres, posing serious danger to marine activities.
A Category One warning has also been issued for Condore, the northeast and southwest sectors of Reef North, and the Layang-Layang Island zone, with expected winds of 40–50 km/h and waves between 2.5 to 3.5 metre.
METMalaysia cautioned that the conditions pose significant risks to small boats, fishing vessels, and recreational sea users, urging mariners to avoid the affected waters until conditions stabilise.
METMalaysia said updates will be issued as the situation develops.
