IGB Berhad has appointed Kiong Wei Yang as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with immediate effect.
Kiong, 35, brings nearly 15 years of experience in financial management, corporate finance and capital markets, with broad exposure across property development, investment, construction and hospitality sectors.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Group Financial Controller of IGB Berhad, where he was responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and treasury management. He was also actively involved in the Group’s corporate exercises and financing initiatives, giving him in-depth familiarity with IGB’s operations and strategic priorities.
Earlier in his career, Kiong spent close to a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers PLT, rising to the role of Senior Manager. During his tenure, he led and managed engagements related to capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.
Kiong holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham City University. He is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Chartered Certified Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom.
