Trading in the ordinary shares of Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (BHIC) has been temporarily suspended on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
The suspension, which was requested by the company and subsequently approved by Bursa Securities, took effect at 9:31 a.m. today and is scheduled to remain in place until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.
According to the official filing, the voluntary halt is pending the release of a material announcement. The request was made in accordance with Paragraph 3.1(b) of Practice Note 2 of the Main Market Listing Requirements, which allows companies to pause trading to ensure fair and orderly dissemination of significant corporate information.
While the specific nature of the announcement has not yet been disclosed, BHIC has been active in recent months. Earlier this year, the group entered into a non-binding collaboration with French defense firm Défense Conseil International (DCI) to explore technical and manpower support for rotary-wing platforms. Investors are also closely watching for updates regarding the group’s naval maintenance contracts and potential corporate restructuring.
Trading is expected to resume on Wednesday morning, following the publication of the anticipated disclosure.
