The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) announced a dividend of 6.15% for 2025 for both conventional and Shariah savings accounts, slightly lower than the 6.3% in 2024, with a total payout of RM79.6 billion.
EPF CEO Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn said the fund recorded total distributable income of RM82.7 billion, up 9.5% from RM75.5 billion in 2024. Investment assets grew 12.8% to RM1.41 trillion, supported by portfolio income and net contributions of RM66.5 billion.
“Equities remained the main driver in 2025, generating RM50.7 billion, or 64% of total investment income, surpassing RM49.9 billion in 2024,” Ahmad Zulqarnain said.
He noted that overall return on investment (ROI) moderated to 7.9% amid global market volatility and softer domestic conditions, while private equity investments, accounting for roughly 8% of total equities, delivered an ROI of 10.5%.
The announcement underscores EPF’s continued resilience in navigating challenging markets while delivering steady returns for members.
