Hyatt Strengthens Dining Credentials In China With Black Pearl Wins

Hyatt is tightening its grip on China’s premium dining scene, with eight restaurants earning One Diamond in the 2026 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide. It’s the highest count for any international hotel group, reinforcing Hyatt Hotels Corporation as a major player in the country’s high-end food landscape.

One highlight stands out. Tea House at Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay picked up the Annual Dish Award for its Crispy Roasted Veal with Lime — recognised for its technique, originality and smart use of local ingredients under the guide’s “Chinese palate” criteria.

The One Diamond wins span key cities and concepts. Dining rooms at Park Hyatt Hangzhou and Park Hyatt Shanghai made the list, alongside Tea House at Park Hyatt Suzhou.

Seafood House at Park Hyatt Ningbo Resort and Spa also secured a spot, as did China Lodge at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen, The Penthouse at Grand Hyatt Guangzhou, and Hua Chi 88 at Hyatt Regency Suzhou.

For Hyatt, the message is consistent: strong local flavours, solid technique and a dining experience that goes beyond the food itself. As Wu Guojun puts it, the focus is just as much on atmosphere and service as what’s on the plate.

A limited-time Black Pearl dining package is now available through its platform, with added perks for World of Hyatt members.

Now in its ninth year, the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide remains a key benchmark in China’s dining scene, combining expert reviews with diner feedback.
