AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad has invested in the Cardinals Racing Team for the 2026 season of the Asia Road Racing Championship, expanding its footprint in the regional two-wheeler and motorsports ecosystem.
The group, which holds over 20% market share in motorcycle financing, said the partnership reflects its continued push beyond financing into performance, talent development and motorsports engagement.
Deputy CEO and Chief Business Synergy Officer Lee Tyan Jen said the collaboration aligns with AEON Credit’s position in the motorcycle segment.
“Our partnership with the Cardinals Racing Team extends our leadership in the two-wheeler space while allowing us to support performance and talent within the motorsports ecosystem,” she said.
The Cardinals Racing Team, known for its technical capabilities and consistent performance in the ARRC, is aiming for stronger podium finishes in the 2026 season with the new backing.
The investment builds on AEON Credit’s growing presence in motorcycle racing. In 2025, the group participated in MotoGP engagements and supported Malaysian rider Hakim Danish during a wildcard appearance.
It is also partnering with ZK Racing to field Hakim Danish in a full-season campaign in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship.
AEON Credit said the initiative is part of its broader strategy to strengthen brand visibility across international motorsports platforms, deepen engagement with customers and position itself as a long-term supporter of youth talent.
Team principal of Cardinals Racing Team K.F. Wong said the partnership will strengthen the team’s competitiveness.
“The support allows us to compete at a higher level and deliver strong results throughout the championship,” he said.
The ARRC remains one of Asia’s premier motorcycle racing series, attracting top riders and teams across the region.
