Vietjet Posts Strong 2025 Profit, Declares 30% Dividend

Vietjet reported a stronger 2025 performance at its 2026 Annual General Meeting, supported by higher passenger demand and improved profitability, while approving a 30% dividend payout in shares for shareholders.

The airline recorded consolidated revenue of VND82.093 trillion (about RM14.6 billion) for 2025, with profit after tax rising more than 50% year-on-year to VND2.123 trillion (about RM378 million).

Passenger traffic remained robust, with Vietjet carrying over 28 million passengers across more than 153,000 flights during the year. The airline operated a fleet of 135 aircraft and served 254 routes, reflecting continued regional and international network growth.

Shareholders also approved a 30% dividend payout in shares and the appointment of two new board members, signalling confidence in the group’s long-term strategy.

Vietjet said its growth momentum will continue into its next phase of expansion, supported by a large aircraft order book that includes 20 Airbus A330neo wide-body aircraft and 100 Airbus A321neo aircraft, with 50 additional purchase options. The airline is positioning itself for longer-haul expansion into Europe and the United States.

Independent board member Dr Philipp Rösler said Vietjet has been preparing for long-haul expansion with a cost-efficient model designed to maintain competitiveness while supporting extended international routes.

Chairwoman Dr Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao said the airline is focused on long-term value creation, linking its growth strategy to broader economic connectivity and shareholder returns.

Operationally, Vietjet is investing in infrastructure to support expansion, including a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centre at Long Thanh International Airport, upgraded ground handling systems and an expanded aviation training academy.
