Valentino’s Cult Rockstud Shoe Makes A 2026 Comeback

Valentino is bringing back one of its most recognisable shoe designs. The Rockstud returns for pre-fall 2026 as a focused capsule collection.

First launched in 2010, the Rockstud quickly became a signature for the house. Those sharp pyramid studs turned classic pumps and accessories into something instantly identifiable. The mix of polished elegance and tougher, almost rebellious detailing is what made it stand out and stay popular for years.

Now, Alessandro Michele is revisiting the design with four updated styles. The Rockstud Pumps are back in 40 mm and 100 mm heel options, giving you a more practical choice for daytime or a higher heel for evening wear. There’s also a 100 mm Rockstud Sandal, designed as a slip-on style to make it easier to wear day to day.

The rest of the line leans more relaxed. The Rockstud Thong Sandal strips things back to a simpler silhouette, while the Rockstud Mary-Jane Ballerina focuses on comfort without losing the signature edge.

Across all four styles, the studs remain the highlight. However, the materials and finishes feel more updated, with laminated surfaces and woven textures bringing a lighter touch.

This relaunch also fits into a wider trend in fashion right now. Designs from the 2000s and 2010s are being revisited across luxury brands, driven by nostalgia and a renewed interest in familiar, recognisable pieces.

The Rockstud is a clear example of that shift, especially for shoppers who already know the original and want an update rather than something completely new.

Available on the brand’s official website, the prices for the capsule start at SG$ 1,210 for the Rockstud Thong Sandal and go up to SG$ 1,770 for the Rockstud Pumps.
