Weather Dept Warns Of Severe Wind Conditions, Thunderstorms In Peninsula From June 21-23

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has warned of strong westerly wind convergence over northern Peninsular Malaysia from June 21 to 23, which could trigger severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms and prolonged heavy rain.

METMalaysia said analysis of the latest weather forecast models indicates the conditions may lead to the formation of squall lines, a weather phenomenon associated with intense thunderstorms, strong winds and continuous downpours.

The department advised residents in affected areas to remain vigilant and monitor the latest weather updates through its official channels and the myCuaca mobile application.

METMalaysia said the public should stay informed of any weather warnings issued during the period to ensure safety and preparedness.
