Bloomberg and Singapore Exchange (SGX) have launched a new collaboration aimed at enhancing global investor awareness and access to Singapore’s equity market through a series of joint initiatives supporting SGX-listed companies.
The partnership will focus on improving research visibility, strengthening investor relations practices and showcasing opportunities within Singapore’s capital markets to international investors, in line with efforts led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to deepen market participation.
Under the collaboration, Bloomberg will help expand the reach of research produced through MAS’ Grant for Equity Market Singapore scheme by making the content more accessible via the Bloomberg Terminal.
The move is expected to provide global investors with deeper insights into SGX-listed companies, including upcoming IPOs, while broadening exposure to opportunities in Singapore’s equity market.
Beyond research distribution, Bloomberg will also provide expertise in data and technology to support SGX-listed firms in adopting best practices in corporate disclosures, investor relations and the use of high-quality datasets.
The initiatives will include training sessions, C-suite roundtables and investor outreach programmes both within and outside Singapore to further raise the profile of Singapore’s capital markets internationally.
SGX Group President Michael Syn said the collaboration strengthens SGX’s Value Unlock initiative by helping listed companies communicate their long-term strategies and growth potential more effectively to investors.
“Singapore’s stock market is anchored by a strong base of companies with solid fundamentals and growth potential. Our collaboration with Bloomberg advances SGX’s Value Unlock initiative by helping more Singapore-listed companies better articulate their strategy, performance and long-term potential, and engage global investors more effectively,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg Asia-Pacific Chairman Bing Li said Singapore remains a critical gateway for international investors seeking exposure to Asia, although more opportunities exist for Singapore-listed firms to attract global capital.
“We are proud to work with SGX, and with Singapore-listed companies, as they embrace data, transparency and research to articulate their value to the global investor community,” he said.
