Mega Fortris Bhd has been included in the Securities Commission Malaysia’s (SC) latest list of Shariah-compliant securities, marking a key milestone for the security seals and packaging solutions provider as it seeks to broaden its investor reach and tap into Islamic funds.
The inclusion, effective May 29, 2026, follows a structured assessment process that began in August last year and involved an independent review of the group’s operations and compliance framework.
To support the initiative, Mega Fortris appointed an internal Shariah advisor and established an independent in-house Shariah unit to oversee and maintain ongoing compliance requirements.
Group Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Adrian Ng Meng Poh said the Shariah-compliant status reflects the group’s continued commitment to compliance and governance standards.
He added that the recognition is expected to create new business opportunities, expand the company’s investor base and support future growth potential.
