Tapas Feast At Bangkok Rooftop Bar

Bangkok’s rooftop dining scene has a new reason to pay attention. INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit has rolled out a refreshed menu at LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar, its 33rd-floor venue in On Nut that combines Spanish small plates with one of the city’s more unusual rooftop settings.

The refreshed menu focuses on Spanish regional cooking and was created by Madrid-born chef de cuisine Juan Ignacio Garcia Racionero, known as Chef Nacho. With experience in leading kitchens across Spain, he brings together influences from San Sebastián, Madrid, Andalusia and the country’s eastern coastline, presented as a sharing-led menu designed for a relaxed rooftop setting.

Seafood is a strong focus. Dishes include Carpaccio de Gamba Roja, featuring red prawns with espelette pepper and extra virgin olive oil, and Lomo de Corvina al Pil Pil de Azafrán y Aji Amarillo, which pairs croaker with a saffron pil-pil sauce and yellow chilli. The menu also features squid ink fideuà with red prawns and octopus, alongside a traditional seafood paella with clams, mussels and squid.

Meat-led plates include Steak tartar y Gilda San Sebastián, combining Wagyu tartare with anchovies and Spanish pickles on ciabatta, and Tacos de Rabo de Toro, where slow-braised oxtail is paired with roasted piquillo peppers and smoked Idiazábal cheese in corn tacos. Pulpo Frito is served with mashed potatoes and paprika oil.

Desserts lean into familiar Spanish flavours, with options such as burnt Basque chocolate cheesecake with white chocolate ice cream, warm chocolate fondant with vanilla custard, and rice pudding finished with confit strawberries.

Chef Nacho describes the menu as a reflection of Spain’s regional variety, shaped by dishes he grew up with. He adds that the concept is built around sharing plates and cocktails in a setting designed to match the rooftop’s energy.
