Pokémon’s 30th Birthday Tour Is Coming To KL This September

PokéXciting is officially heading to Kuala Lumpur, and for fans in Malaysia, this is the stop to watch.

As part of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary tour across Asia, the two-day event lands in Kuala Lumpur on September 12–13, 2026. It’s set to bring a mix of interactive zones, live activities, themed installations and exclusive merchandise, all built around one clear idea: celebrating a franchise that has shaped gaming and pop culture for three decades.

In Kuala Lumpur, organisers plan to focus heavily on fan interaction. Visitors can expect themed zones, large-scale displays, photo spots featuring life-sized Pokémon, and activity areas designed for all ages. Merchandise will play a big role too, with limited-edition items expected to release in small batches across the weekend.

KL also sits at the front of the regional rollout, which includes Taipei in October 2026, Singapore in November 2026, then Manila in January 2027 and Bangkok in February 2027.

Organisers have yet to release full programme details. However, they plan to roll out more information closer to each event date. They will also tailor parts of the experience to each city, which means Kuala Lumpur may see exclusive local touches alongside the core anniversary attractions.

For visitors planning ahead, the key detail is that ticketing, venue information and booking windows will open later. Demand looks likely to spike once those details go live, especially for merchandise and limited experiences that tend to sell out quickly.
