Rosmah Mansor Ordered To Pay RM67.5 Million After Jewellery Loss Suit Allowed

The High Court in Kuala Lumpur has ordered Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to pay RM67.5 million to Global Royalty Trading SAL, a Lebanon-based jewellery company, after allowing a civil suit over the alleged loss of 43 jewellery items over a period of about one month, according to court proceedings on Wednesday.

Judge Datuk Quay Chew Soon issued the order after ruling in favour of Global Royalty Trading SAL in its claim against Rosmah Mansor, bringing the long-running dispute over the jewellery items to a key judicial outcome.

The court found in favour of the claimant after hearing the case, with the judgment directing Rosmah to settle the RM67.5 million sum as compensation to the jewellery company.

The decision marks a significant development in the civil proceedings, with the High Court formally granting the claim brought by Global Royalty Trading SAL against Rosmah Mansor.
