Honda Malaysia has officially launched the all-new Prelude at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, marking the return of the iconic nameplate with a hybrid powertrain and the debut of S+ Shift technology in the local market.
Priced at RM278,000, the sixth-generation Prelude is powered by Honda’s 2.0-litre e:HEV hybrid system, producing 184PS and 315Nm of torque. The model has been developed under Honda’s “Unlimited Glide” concept, combining sporty driving characteristics with everyday comfort and practicality.
A key highlight is the introduction of S+ Shift technology, a first for Honda Malaysia. The system manages engine revolutions during acceleration and deceleration to deliver a sharper and more engaging driving experience, while working alongside Active Sound Control and dynamic visual displays.
The Prelude offers Sport, GT and Comfort drive modes, as well as an Individual mode that allows drivers to customise powertrain, steering, suspension, meter display and engine sound settings.
Honda has also equipped the coupe with several performance-focused technologies, including a dual-axis strut front suspension and Adaptive Damper System derived from the Civic Type R, alongside Agile Handling Assist for enhanced stability and cornering performance.
Inside, the Prelude features a 9-inch Advanced Display Audio system with Google Built-in, including Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play, complemented by a Bose Premium Sound System.
Safety equipment includes the full Honda SENSING suite of advanced driver-assistance systems.
The all-new Prelude is available in Winter Frost Pearl, Rallye Red and Crystal Black Pearl. Honda is accepting bookings through its authorised dealerships and online channels.
