Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan has proclaimed Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Zain Al-Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz as the new Tunku Panglima Besar of Negeri Sembilan, effective immediately.
The proclamation was made during a ceremony held at the Balairong Seri, Istana Besar Seri Menanti earlier today, filling the vacancy for the traditional hereditary title of Tunku Panglima Besar under the Putera Yang Empat institution.
In the statement issued by Dato’ Azizi bin Mohamad Ali, Royal Court Secretary, the appointment reflects confidence that Tunku Zain Al-Abidin will continue to uphold the sovereignty of the Negeri Sembilan Royal Institution while safeguarding the interests of the state and its people.
