CIBD Appoints Ahmad Farrin As New Chief Executive

The Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) has announced the appointment of Sr Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar as its new Chief Executive, effective 8 June 2026. The appointment letter was formally presented by the Minister of Works, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, at his office in Kuala Lumpur.

Sr Ahmad Farrin brings 25 years of dedicated service to CIDB, having most recently served as Senior General Manager of the Contractor & Construction Personnel Development Sector. He has also served as the Senior General Manager of Policy and
Corporate Division, and State Director for Johor and Terengganu.

His career spans a wide range of responsibilities including industry policy fevelopment, corporate management, enforcement, business development, international relations, and capacity building for Malaysia’s construction sector.

He has played a pivotal role in shaping CIDB’s strategic direction, contributing to the CIDB Strategic Plan 2021–2025 and driving initiatives under the National Construction Policy (DPN) 2030 in collaboration with the Ministry of Works.

Sr Ahmad Farrin succeeds Zainora Zainal, who retired on 15 January 2026.
