Musk: SpaceX Could Hit US$1 Trillion Revenue By 2030

Elon Musk said SpaceX could generate more than US$1 trillion in annual revenue by 2030, underscoring his aggressive long-term growth outlook for the rocket and satellite company just days after it was valued above US$2 trillion in a public listing.

According to Reuters, Musk said on X on June 14 that he would “be surprised if revenue is not greater than US$1T in 2031”, responding to comments on the company’s valuation trajectory following its debut as the sixth-largest US firm.

The remarks come as SpaceX’s valuation surge has cemented Musk’s position as the world’s first trillionaire, despite the company still trailing Big Tech peers in revenue scale.

SpaceX reported revenue of US$18.67 billion in 2025, up from US$14.02 billion a year earlier, but swung to a net loss of US$4.94 billion compared with a US$791 million profit previously.

Even as investor enthusiasm remains strong, Wall Street estimates are significantly more conservative. Goldman Sachs has projected SpaceX revenue to exceed US$470 billion by 2030, while Morgan Stanley estimates nearly US$330 billion, according to earlier reports.

The company’s current revenue base remains well below major tech giants such as Amazon and Broadcom, highlighting the scale of growth required to meet Musk’s trillion-dollar target.

Analysts have also flagged caution over the disconnect between SpaceX’s valuation and its near-term earnings profile, even as its dominance in space launch and satellite communications continues to expand.
