Bangkok is getting a taste of the French Riviera this month as La Petite Maison (LPM) sets up a limited-time pop-up at the Anantara Siam Hotel.
Running as part of a two-month residency until July 31, the spotlight is firmly on one thing: the Tomatini, LPM’s signature savoury cocktail, served alongside exclusive weekend lunches and an interactive Tomatini Garden experience.
If you’ve never tried a Tomatini, this is LPM’s calling card. Created in 2010 by mixologist Jimmy Barrat, it flips the idea of a classic martini on its head.
Instead of sweet or spirit-forward, it leans into savoury, combining Campari tomatoes, Ketel One vodka and aged white balsamic vinegar, finished simply with salt and pepper. The result is bright, clean and distinctly tomato-led, designed to feel like a chilled moment on the Mediterranean coast.
At LPM Bangkok, that idea carries through the whole experience. Weekend lunches are served in a light-filled dining room where the pace is deliberately relaxed. One of the small but memorable touches is the tableside seasoning, where freshly cracked black pepper is added from an oversized mill, reinforcing the restaurant’s focus on simple ingredients and understated theatre.
The main draw is the Tomatini Weekend Lunches, running only on June 20–21 and July 18–19. Priced at 1,990 THB per person, the set menu is built around tomato-led dishes and Mediterranean flavours, with an optional Tomatini Pairing Experience at 990 THB for those who want free-flowing cocktails throughout the meal.
The menu starts light. Think burrata with cherry tomatoes and basil, yellowtail carpaccio with guacamole and citrus dressing, and red prawn carpaccio from LPM Hong Kong. It’s a clean opening that leans into freshness rather than heavy flavours, setting the tone for the courses ahead.
Mains shift into more comfort-led territory. Homemade gnocchi with cherry tomatoes delivers a soft texture and gentle acidity, while grilled Chilean bass with chilli and lemon confit, along with marinated baby chicken, highlight LPM’s grill-focused approach. A side of broccolini with chilli and ginger adds a simple, aromatic lift to the table.
Desserts keep things classic. The strawberry and vanilla éclair offers a straightforward balance of fruit and cream, while French toast with spice ice cream brings a richer, slightly nostalgic finish without overcomplicating the plate.
Alongside the meal, the Tomatini Garden Experience adds an interactive element. Set up as a dedicated pop-up, it features a live preparation station where guests can watch the cocktail being made, while also learning more about the different tomato varieties used across LPM’s drinks and dishes. The focus is less on spectacle and more on understanding the flavour profile—from acidity to sweetness to umami.
The Tomatini Weekend Lunches are available only on the two scheduled weekends, with reservations open via LPM Bangkok’s official website.
