All six participants in ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia’s inaugural apprenticeship programme have been absorbed into full-time roles, marking a complete transition rate as the aircraft maintenance provider looks to strengthen its long-term talent pipeline.
The programme, run by the Dassault Aviation subsidiary in collaboration with training partner D’viation, was designed to build job-ready aircraft maintenance professionals amid rising technical complexity in the aviation sector and a tightening skilled labour pool.
Selected from aviation and engineering institutions, the apprentices underwent a structured six-month placement combining technical assessments with hands-on training in a live maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) environment.
During the programme, participants worked under supervision across business aviation platforms including Bombardier, Gulfstream and Dassault aircraft, gaining exposure to core maintenance tasks such as engine and APU installations, structural panel work, cabin refurbishment and finishing operations.
ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia said the outcome reflects the effectiveness of its structured training model in bridging academic learning with industry requirements, particularly as aircraft systems become increasingly advanced.
Maintenance General Manager Suniljit Singh said the initiative is focused on developing long-term capability rather than short-term recruitment, adding that strong foundational skills and practical experience are essential to support modern aviation maintenance needs.
