Malaysia Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) led the gainers on Bursa Malaysia on June 30 as the broader market ended on a positive note, with advancing counters comfortably outnumbering decliners.
A total of 562 counters advanced against 415 decliners, while 589 counters closed unchanged. Another 1,124 counters were untraded and 79 suspended.
MPI topped the gainers’ list, climbing 56 sen to RM49.66 on 7,985 lots traded. Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd added 50 sen to RM33 on 47 lots, while United Plantations Bhd gained 42 sen to RM33.08 on 7,010 lots. UMS Integration Limited advanced 34 sen to RM8.21 on 20 lots and Apollo Food Holdings Bhd rose 29 sen to RM6.14 on 1,450 lots.
On the losing side, Batu Kawan Bhd fell 34 sen to RM21.10 on 111 lots traded. Allianz Malaysia Bhd declined 22 sen to RM21.08 on 207 lots, while Dynafront Holdings Bhd slipped 20 sen to 80 sen on 1,000 lots. AMMB Holdings Bhd eased 17 sen to RM6.37 with 91,547 lots changing hands and LPI Capital Bhd lost 16 sen to RM14.98 on 838 lots.
The positive market breadth reflected sustained buying interest across selected heavyweight and mid-cap counters despite weakness in several financial and plantation-related stocks.
