Hermès will enter the haute couture calendar for the first time in January 2027, marking a new direction for the French luxury house known for its leather craftsmanship and made-to-order creations.
The collection will be presented during Haute Couture Week, with artistic direction led by Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski, Hermès’ women’s artistic director. The announcement follows earlier plans for the house to expand its creative teams and atelier capabilities, according to FashionNetwork.
Hermès executive chairman Axel Dumas previously confirmed that the company had been developing new ateliers and hiring specialists ahead of a future couture launch. He said the collection would be presented once the work was ready.
The debut comes as haute couture continues to see renewed interest, with several major fashion houses introducing new creative directions and collections in recent seasons.
