Johor voters heading to the polls on Saturday (July 11) can expect mixed weather conditions, with several districts forecast to experience morning rain while parts of the state may see thunderstorms later in the day.
According to a weather infographic shared by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) on X, areas including Johor Bahru, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Tangkak and Kulai are expected to receive rain in the morning before improving to sunny conditions in the evening.
Temperatures in these areas are forecast to range between 23°C and 34°C, with Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Tangkak and Kulai expected to reach a high of 34°C.
Meanwhile, Segamat, Kluang, Kota Tinggi and Mersing are forecast to experience sunny weather in the morning before thunderstorms develop in the evening.
Segamat and Kluang are expected to record temperatures between 23°C and 34°C, while Kota Tinggi and Mersing are forecast to reach highs of 33°C.
Johor Bahru is expected to see temperatures between 23°C and 33°C.
Voters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, especially those heading to polling centres during periods of expected rainfall or thunderstorms.
