Selangor is strengthening its push to become a leader in the green economy, renewable energy and future technologies following a strategic meeting between Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and the new leadership of Worldwide Holdings Bhd.
In a post on X, Amirudin said he received a courtesy visit from Worldwide Holdings Group chief executive officer Ahmad Zaki Zainuddin following the retirement of Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria.
He later chaired a meeting with the company’s senior management to discuss Worldwide Holdings’ strategic direction, with a focus on maintaining its position as a leading player in renewable energy, next-generation technologies and the circular economy.
The discussions also centred on strategies to attract, develop and retain skilled talent to ensure the company remains equipped with a high-quality workforce capable of meeting the needs of future industries while enhancing Selangor’s competitiveness.
Amirudin expressed confidence that the company’s new leadership would continue to build on its achievements in supporting Selangor’s sustainable development agenda and economic growth.
He added that the Selangor government and Worldwide Holdings would continue strengthening their collaboration to realise the state’s ambition of becoming Malaysia’s leader in the green economy, future technologies and sustainable development.
