Step into a world where Peranakan cuisine is served, secrets simmer beneath silk and silver, and not quite what they seem. Held inside an iconic Melaka heritage house, this is not just a dinner. It’s an investigation.
Guests will be seated at a shared table for a delicious Peranakan feast before being split out into groups to walk through the rooms of the house, encounter characters, uncover clues, and work together to crack the case before the night is through. Whether you choose to observe or step fully into your role, the mystery unfolds around you — and you’re part of the story.
A vegetarian food option bento set is available for those who want to participate. However, please keep in mind that vegetarian set contains garlic and onion.
Much like all murder cases, suspects are the first to investigate. You’ll meet a myriad of characters, like father-and-son duo Baba and Peter Pang, Mama Maria, and the bookish Miss Irene. Detective Raymond is there to help crack the case. If that sounds difficult, guests are split into breakout groups to walk through the heritage house. Interrogate suspects, search for clues, and piece together the truth.
To play the part, dress in your finest vintage, Peranakan, or 1930s-inspired attire, such as broderie kebaya, sarong, batik, suspenders, and oxford shoes.
