Stratus Global Ends Main Market Debut RM1.31 Above IPO Price

Stratus Global Holdings Bhd capped a strong Main Market debut at RM2.11, gaining RM1.31 or 163.8% from its IPO of 80 sen.

The cleanroom automation specialist opened at RM1.96, with 29.18 million shares changing hands, before climbing further on sustained investor demand. Trading volume reached 137.12 million shares by the closing bell.

Listed under the stock name “STRATUS” and stock code “5356”, the company raised RM285 million through the issuance of 356.25 million new shares. It has an enlarged issued share capital of 1.25 billion shares following the listing.

Stratus Global provides automated material handling solutions for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including conveyor-based and hybrid systems, automated storage and retrieval systems, and its proprietary IntelliMove transport control software.

Of the IPO proceeds, RM122.6 million will be used to expand its facilities, including the construction of a new manufacturing plant in Penang.

Another RM45 million has been allocated for research and development, RM20 million for overseas expansion and RM82.4 million for working capital.

Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Ryo Narisawa said the listing would strengthen Stratus Global’s manufacturing capacity, research capabilities and ability to support customers across key semiconductor markets.
