PM Anwar Who’s Also The PKR President, Set To Woo NS Voters Today

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set for a packed campaign schedule in Negeri Sembilan today as Pakatan Harapan (PH) intensifies its final push ahead of the state election on Saturday, Bernama reported.

Anwar, who is also PH chairman and PKR president, will begin his visit with a tea gathering with residents at the Chennah state constituency in Jelebu, before heading to the Temu Anwar programme at the Islamic Dakwah Centre in Paroi.

The prime minister is also scheduled to attend a dinner with the Indian community at Klana Resort later in the evening, followed by two Grand Finale Kekal Harapan Negeri Sembilan campaign events.

The campaign finale events will take place at Betaria Business Centre in Seremban at 9 pm before moving to the Desa Cempaka Night Market site in Nilai at 10.30 pm.

The events are expected to be attended by several PH leaders, including Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who is also the PH candidate for the Linggi state seat; DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke, who is contesting Chennah; Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu; and PKR vice-president Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

PH communications director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil and other PH candidates contesting in the election are also expected to join the campaign events.

Anwar’s appearance is expected to boost PH’s momentum in the final days of campaigning before the campaign period ends at 11.59 pm on Friday.

For the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election, PH is contesting all 36 state seats, fielding 16 candidates from PKR, 11 from DAP, and 9 from Amanah. A total of 103 candidates are competing for the 36 seats, with 867,151 ordinary voters eligible to cast their ballots on Saturday.
