Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s profit after tax, zakat and minority interest (PATAMI) rose 15.2% year-on-year to RM144.6 million for the first half of 2026 (1H26), supported by stronger trading activity and higher listing-related revenue.
Operating revenue also increased 19.6% to RM411.7 million, driven mainly by higher securities trading activity, while operating expenses climbed 21% to RM229 million due primarily to increased staff costs and regulatory fees.
Average daily trading value in the securities market jumped 35% to RM3.3 billion. Bursa Malaysia also recorded 36 initial public offerings, which raised RM5.4 billion and added RM26.1 billion in market capitalisation.
Backed by a strong listing pipeline, the exchange raised its 2026 IPO market capitalisation target to RM34 billion from RM28 billion.
Bursa Malaysia declared an interim dividend of 16.5 sen per share, amounting to RM133.5 million and representing a 92% payout ratio.
