Bursa Malaysia Bhd expects one or two major IPOs in the second half of 2026 (2H26), supported by a strong listing pipeline that prompted the exchange to raise its full-year IPO market capitalisation target to RM34 billion.
Chief Executive Officer Datuk Fad’l Mohamed said the pipeline includes companies seeking listings on both the Main and ACE markets.
“We hope to see a couple of large IPOs in 2H26 and I am confident to say that we should be able to have one or two large IPOs,” he said.
The exchange raised its IPO market capitalisation target from RM28 billion after surpassing the original full-year goal ahead of schedule and exceeding the total recorded for 2025.
Fad’l said the revised target was supported by submissions already received, strong issuer interest across healthcare, consumer and technology sectors, and sustained demand from retail and institutional investors.
Technology listings remain a key growth area, driven by investor appetite for artificial intelligence-related companies.
“We are in what I would call a tech supercycle. The underlying demand for technology and artificial intelligence-related companies remains strong,” he said.
