Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has expanded its Financial Consumer Alert (FCA) list with the addition of dozens of companies, investment schemes and websites that are neither authorised nor approved under laws and regulations administered by the central bank.
BNM said the FCA list serves as a reference for the public based on information and enquiries received by the central bank, stressing that the list is not exhaustive and should only be used as a guide.
Among the newly added entities are Trade Like Maza, Trunks Livetrade, Dollar Master, Amanah Impian Capital, Rezeki Amanah Invest, FalconRise Capital and Trade Master Partner.
The latest update also includes numerous entities identified as potential clone entities, which use names similar to legitimate financial institutions or investment firms in an apparent attempt to mislead consumers.
These include Ilmu Trader Profesional and MBF BERHAD 102, Apex Business and MIDF 161, SinoLion Capital and INVESTORS TRUST 240, Fintec Global Venture and ADVANCE INVESTMENT114, Pastikan Berjaya and EASI WEALTH 603, MyDas FA 107, MalayStock Success and Adwise Capital 173, Kapital Rezeki and Finwealth Group 107, Pelaburan Hijau and Manulife 122, MY Pilihan Cerdik and A.D. Evoque Financial Group 109, Saham Mantap and KAF Investment Bank 143, Pelaburan Islamic and 707 PMB INVESTMENT GROUP, Wallstreet Stocks List and 646 FxPro Global, Saham Xpert and MIDA INVESTMENT 2, Education Pro Saham Malaysia and AIX Investment Group, Kewangan MyHasil and VPW Malaysia, Wan Azlan and Moomoo Securities, Halal Intan Capital and MIDF Investment, and TXCD CapitalX and Webull Securities.
BNM also added a series of entities using the T Rowe Price name, including T Rowe Price Ventures, Rowe Price Resources, T Rowe Price Empire, T Rowe Price Solutions, T Rowe Price Enterprise, T Rowe Price Global Ventures, T Rowe Price World Ventures, T Rowe Price Advance Ventures, T Rowe Price Group Sdn. Bhd., T Rowe Price Asset Ventures, T Rowe Price Asset Resources, and T Rowe Price United Ventures, all of which have been flagged as potential clone entities.
In addition, Doo Prime Malaysia Berhad Investment Scheme was added to the list as a potential clone entity under the updated listing.
BNM reminded the public to exercise caution before dealing with any investment or financial service provider and to verify whether the entity is authorised or regulated before making any investment decisions.
The central bank said the Financial Consumer Alert list will be updated regularly and can be accessed through its official website.
