King Orders Uncompromising Investigation Into Tabung Haji Mismanagement

King Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar has ordered an exhaustive investigation into the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), stressing that no party found guilty should be spared action.

In a post on his official Facebook account today, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim said the investigation must be conducted comprehensively to ensure those responsible are held accountable and to prevent similar issues from recurring.

“No one should escape action if they are truly found guilty. Most importantly, things like this must not happen again,” Sultan Ibrahim said.

The decree followed the King’s audience with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at Istana Bukit Tunku today, where their meeting lasted more than an hour.

During the meeting, Sultan Ibrahim was briefed on the contents of the TH RCI report, along with current issues involving the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA).

The RCI report, published on July 29, detailed findings concerning the management and governance of TH between 2014 and 2020.

The Dewan Rakyat will hold a special sitting on August 11 to debate the report.
