Maxis Appoints CEO Goh Seow Eng As Executive Director

Maxis Bhd has appointed Chief Executive Officer Goh Seow Eng as Executive Director, expanding his leadership role to the telecommunications group’s board.

Goh, 62, has led Maxis as CEO since Dec 1, 2022, after joining the company as CEO-designate a month earlier.

The latest appointment places Goh on the board while he continues to helm the group’s operations and strategic direction.

Goh brings extensive experience across telecommunications, technology, media and financial services.

Before joining Maxis, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Info Service Plc (AIS) in Thailand, where he was responsible for its operating businesses, including mobile, fibre broadband and enterprise operations.

He previously served as Managing Director of Singtel’s Home Business in Singapore and held senior roles at Astro Malaysia and Tanjong plc. His earlier career also included corporate and consumer banking positions with Citibank across several international markets and a role with Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco.

Goh holds degrees in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He also completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.

The appointment strengthens Goh’s role within Maxis as the group continues to pursue growth across connectivity, enterprise solutions and digital services.
