Besraya Opens RM5.22 Million Widened Ramp Near Seri Kembangan From Sept 7

Motorists travelling on the BESRAYA Expressway from Kuala Lumpur towards Balakong and Putrajaya are expected to see smoother traffic flow following the completion of a RM5.22 million ramp-widening project near the Seri Kembangan Interchange, which opens on Sept 7.

BESRAYA said the project involved widening a 400-metre stretch between KM4.2 and KM3.8 southbound on the expressway.

Implemented with the support of the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), the project is aimed at increasing lane capacity and improving traffic movement for motorists travelling from the Mines Selatan Toll Plaza towards Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Balakong and Putrajaya, particularly during peak hours.

The highway concessionaire said the additional capacity is expected to provide a more comfortable and smoother journey along the busy southbound corridor.

In conjunction with the opening of the widened ramp, the existing tidal flow lane between KM5.3 and KM3.8 southbound will be discontinued.

BESRAYA said ending the tidal flow arrangement following the completion of the widening project is expected to improve traffic efficiency and facilitate smoother vehicle movement in both directions.
