MKH Managing Director Tan Sri Datuk Chen Lok Loi Resigns Ahead Of Takeover Offer

MKH Bhd managing director Tan Sri Datuk Eddy Chen Lok Loi has resigned from his position, effective Aug 19, 2026, ahead of the first closing date of a takeover offer for the property developer.

The 74-year-old Chen, who has served as an executive director of MKH, obtained approval from the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) for his resignation ahead of the first closing date of the takeover offer.

Chen was appointed to MKH’s board on July 31, 1984 and became group managing director on Jan 19, 2005. He has 44 years of experience in property development and construction-related businesses.

He holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree from Monash University.

Throughout his career, Chen has held various positions in industry and government-linked organisations. He was previously chairman of Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia and served as a non-independent non-executive director of MKH Oil Palm (East Kalimantan) Bhd.

He is also a patron of the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (REHDA Malaysia) and has served as president of the Building Management Association of Malaysia.

Chen is the brother of Tan Sri Dato’ Chen Kooi Chiew @ Cheng Ngi Chong and Datuk Chen Fook Wah, according to the announcement.
