Pekat 1H26 Net Profit Rises 12.6% To RM29.6 Million, Declares 1 Sen Dividend

Pekat Group Bhd’s net profit rose 12.6% to RM29.57 million for the first half of 2026 (1H26), as broad-based growth across its businesses lifted earnings, prompting the board to declare a first interim dividend of one sen per share.

Revenue for 1H26 increased 23.8% to RM343.32 million from RM277.30 million a year earlier, led by its solar photovoltaic (PV) division, which contributed RM187.39 million on progress from large-scale solar EPCC projects.

The power distribution equipment (PDE) division recorded revenue of RM79.72 million, up 27.1%, while earthing and lightning protection (ELP) revenue grew 29.5% to RM40.22 million. Trading revenue climbed 28.1% to RM35.99 million.

Pekat also delivered a record second quarter, with revenue surging 38.1% to RM175.43 million from RM126.99 million as all four divisions posted growth.

Quarterly net profit jumped 33.5% to RM16.73 million, while profit after tax and minority interests rose 28.8% to RM14.19 million.

The group maintained a strong financial position, holding RM111.27 million in cash, bank balances and money market funds as at end-June, while total equity increased to RM373.91 million.

The interim dividend will be paid on Sept 25 to shareholders on the Record of Depositors as at Sept 8.

Looking ahead, Pekat expects Malaysia’s energy transition, including LSS5, LSS5+, LSS6 and growing battery energy storage adoption, to support its solar business, while rising electricity demand from industrial and data centre developments is expected to create further opportunities for its PDE and ELP divisions.
