Express Powerr Posts Record Quarterly Profit Of RM4 Million As Indonesia Expansion Pays Off

Express Powerr Solutions (M) Bhd posted its highest quarterly net profit since listing, with 2Q26 earnings rising 29% year-on-year to RM4 million as its expansion into Indonesia lifted sales volume and profitability.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 surged 59.2% to RM20.7 million from RM13 million a year earlier, while gross profit climbed 35.8% to RM10.5 million.

For the first six months of FY26, revenue increased 29.8% to RM33.5 million from RM25.8 million, while net profit rose to RM6.4 million from RM6 million. Gross profit improved 13.4% to RM17.8 million.

Managing Director Lim Cheng Ten said the stronger performance reflected progress in the group’s growth strategy, supported by recurring revenue from its core generator rental business and new opportunities from planned maintenance projects.

Indonesia has emerged as a key growth market after Express Powerr secured its first international power generation project involving the supply and rental of generator units with a combined capacity of 20MW for a power plant in Lombok.

The group has also expanded its generator fleet to 181 units, up 57% from a year ago, giving it greater capacity to take on larger and more complex projects.

Looking ahead, Lim said Express Powerr plans to scale its generator power plant operations in Indonesia, strengthen its core rental business and further develop its solar photovoltaic capabilities to broaden its revenue base.
