Potter heads have something to celebrate. From 20 August to 20 September, Pavilion Damansara Heights is turning back the clock to celebrate ’25 Years of Magic with Harry Potter.’
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone first cast its spell years ago on readers and moviegoers alike. The stories brought much whimsical joy, and it’s time to revisit the wonder and splendour of the Wizarding World.
For 25 years, Harry Potter has captured the imagination of generations and created a lasting connection among fans around the world. At Pavilion Damansara Heights, we are delighted to celebrate this milestone by bringing the wonder of the wizarding world closer to our visitors through an immersive experience that brings families, friends and fans together. The Concourse level has been reimagined into an immersive experience featuring iconic moments from the series.
Get ready to board Platform 9 3/4, before heading to the Hogwarts Express.
At the Workshop Area, there’ll be a 25th Celebration Hat Workshop and Shrink the Celebration Workshop.
In the Hat Workshop, you’ll be twisting colourful pipe cleaners into your own festive wearable hat. Meanwhile, the Shrink the Celebration Workshop is where you can design and bake your own personalised shrink-film accessories.
On 29 August at 3pm, catch a special fashion show by ALIST Academy, showcasing Cheetah’s adorable Hogwarts-inspired outfit collection.
Throughout the campaign period, shoppers can unlock exclusive Harry Potter rewards.
Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM300 in a single receipt can redeem one pair of Harry Potter socks, courtesy of Footer.
If you spend a minimum of RM500 in a single receipt, shoppers get to redeem one Harry Potter pouch, with four designs available.
Redemptions can be made on the same day of purchase at the Concierge on Level 2, with one redemption permitted per shopper per day, while stocks last.
The redemption programme is valid for qualifying purchases made at participating tenants, with exclusions including Food Merchants, Pop-up Stores, Kiosks, Push Carts, High Five Street, ATM Transactions, Banking, Car Wash, EV Charging, Money Changers, Utility and Deposit Payments. Despite the celebrations, one must remember that acknowledgement and purchasing HP-related products only plays into JK Rowling’s crusade. While yes, this event is to celebrate the everlasting success of the first book and film that kickstarted a franchise. But it does not erase the harm Rowling is currently causing, despite many’s (including this author’s) nostalgia.
