Louis Vuitton is bringing its fashion and beauty teams together for a new makeup collection. Makeup artist Pat McGrath and Louis Vuitton women’s artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière have created two limited-edition colour collections for La Beauté Louis Vuitton.
The collaboration is part of the house’s 130th anniversary celebrations for its Monogram. It includes two collections, Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge, each with an eyeshadow palette, lipstick and lip balm topper.
Monogram Dune uses neutral shades, with beige, gold and dusty pink tones in the eyeshadow palette. It is paired with a warm nude lipstick. Monogram Infrarouge takes a darker route, combining charcoal and plum eyeshadows with a burgundy lipstick.
The packaging is also different from the permanent La Beauté range. The eyeshadow palettes come in cases covered in Louis Vuitton’s Monogram coated canvas.
The project builds on McGrath and Ghesquière’s existing work together. McGrath has created makeup looks for Louis Vuitton’s fashion shows during Ghesquière’s tenure at the house. She was appointed creative director of cosmetics for La Beauté Louis Vuitton before the beauty line launched in 2025.
Ghesquière has led Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections since 2013. The new makeup collection brings his fashion direction into the beauty line, while giving McGrath a role in shaping products beyond runway looks.
Both Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge became available through Louis Vuitton on Aug. 20. The collection is limited edition.
