Ralph Lauren Gives Its Handbags A New Direction With Polo Blaze

Ralph Lauren is placing greater focus on handbags with Polo Blaze, a new Fall 2026 collection that brings a familiar element of the brand’s visual identity to a new range of bags.

The collection takes its name from the blaze marking found on a horse’s face. While the equestrian reference informs the designs, the bags take a more contemporary approach.

The range features three main styles: the Small Shoulder Bag, Top Handle and Large Shoulder Bag. The shoulder bags have curved profiles and longer straps, while the top-handle style offers a more compact option. Contrast stitching and statement hardware feature throughout the collection.

The collection comes in black, chestnut, currant, ash and petrol blue, with colours differing by design. Leather treatments include tumbled and moto-inspired finishes, giving the bags a more relaxed look.

Polo Blaze arrives as Ralph Lauren continues to expand its handbag business. The company has identified handbags, women’s apparel and outerwear as high-potential categories, with its fiscal 2026 results showing more than 20% constant-currency growth across these areas.

The new line also gives Polo a set of handbag silhouettes that can be developed across future seasons. Rather than introducing a single new style, Ralph Lauren has established three core shapes that can be adapted through different colours and materials.

The approach keeps the equestrian reference in the background rather than making it the main visual focus. Black and chestnut connect the collection to Ralph Lauren’s established palette, while currant and petrol blue offer brighter alternatives.

As reported by The Impression, the collection forms part of Ralph Lauren’s broader push to build handbags into a more significant category. The launch will now test whether Polo Blaze can establish itself beyond its Fall 2026 debut and become a recurring part of the brand’s accessories line-up.
