The growing number of Falcon business jets operating in Asia-Pacific is driving more operators to seek major maintenance services within the region, with a Falcon 8X recently completing its first heavy C-check at a Subang Airport facility.
The aircraft, which is based in Asia, underwent the scheduled inspection at ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia’s heavy maintenance facility. The company said additional C-checks on Falcon 8X aircraft are scheduled this year, including aircraft arriving from other parts of Asia.
A C-check is an extensive maintenance inspection covering an aircraft’s structures and systems and is typically required after about eight years of service.
Recent Asian Sky data shows there are close to 20 Falcon 8X aircraft operating across Asia-Pacific, highlighting the growing need for regional maintenance capacity as the fleet expands.
“Completing the first C-inspection on a Falcon 8X demonstrates the growing confidence Falcon operators have in our facility and technical capabilities,” said Ivan Lim, Regional Vice President Asia, ExecuJet MRO Services.
“As the number of Falcon aircraft expands in Asia-Pacific, operators are now increasingly looking for high-quality maintenance support within the region. Our facility is well positioned to meet the growing demand through our experienced workforce, purpose-built infrastructure and access to the wider Dassault MRO network support,” he added.
Falcon aircraft currently account for around 60% to 65% of the facility’s overall maintenance workload, underscoring their growing contribution to regional MRO activity.
