Singapore stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) falling 28.98 points, or 0.51%, to 5,692.61 as of 9:21am.
Market breadth was slightly negative, with 101 advancers against 115 decliners. Trading volume stood at 138.74 million securities, with total traded value at S$237.92 million.
Among the STI constituents, DBS declined 45 cents, or 0.59%, to S$75.79. OCBC Bank fell to S$31.29 while UOB traded at S$40.69.
Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) was at S$4.48, Singapore Airlines (SIA) at S$6.98 and ST Engineering at S$10.66. SGX shares stood at S$25.30.
In the REIT segment, CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust gained one cent, or 0.42%, to S$2.39. Mapletree PanAsia Commercial Trust traded at S$1.27, while Frasers Centrepoint Trust was at S$2.17.
Keppel DC REIT stood at S$2.22, CapitaLand Ascendas REIT at S$2.44 and Suntec REIT at S$1.49. Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust was at S$0.94.
In derivatives, total volume stood at 80.99 thousand contracts as of 9:11am. FTSE China A50 Index Futures for September 2026 traded at 14,680 points, with volume of 11,380 contracts.
Nikkei 225 Index Futures for September 2026 stood at 65,810 points, while SGX FTSE Taiwan Index Futures for August 2026 traded at 4,002.25 points.
The FTSE China H50 Index Futures for August 2026 stood at 16,202.50 points, while MSCI Singapore Index Futures for September 2026 traded at 539.40 points.
In the foreign exchange futures segment, September 2026 INR/USD Futures traded at 104.560, with volume of 1,158 contracts. USD/CNH Futures stood at 6.7140, KRW/USD Futures at 0.7252 and USD/SGD Futures at 1.2686.
