Jati Tinggi JV Secures RM69.5 Million Tumpat Substation Contract

Jati Tinggi Group Bhd has secured a RM69.5 million contract through a joint venture (JV) to undertake works for a new 132/33kV Gas Insulated Switchgear facility at the proposed PMU Tumpat, lifting its outstanding order book to a record RM1.02 billion.

The contract was awarded to an unincorporated JV between Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the group, and Idiqa Holding Sdn Bhd. Jati Tinggi will hold a 70% share of the project, while Idiqa will take the remaining 30%.

The scope covers the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the 132/33kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, with completion expected within 730 days.

Following the latest win, Jati Tinggi’s outstanding order book has surpassed RM1 billion for the first time, reaching RM1.02 billion and providing earnings visibility over the next three years. Total new contract wins for FY26 have also risen to RM471.8 million.

Managing Director Datuk Seri Lim Yeong Seong said the award reflected the group’s ability to secure and execute sizeable power infrastructure projects, particularly across Malaysia’s transmission and distribution networks.

Lim said the group will continue strengthening its execution capabilities, expanding its market presence and pursuing projects aligned with its core infrastructure engineering expertise.
