Malaysians aged 18 to 30 can now access YTL AI Labs’ ILMUchat Pro, normally priced at RM50 a month, for free for three months after completing national AI training under the government’s AI Untuk Rakyat programme.
The initiative, launched on Malaysia’s Independence Day, is being delivered by the Ministry of Digital in collaboration with YTL AI Labs and MyDIGITAL Corporation through Rakyat Digital, the national digital training platform.
The programme targets 100,000 Malaysians aged 18 to 30 as part of the government’s efforts to expand AI knowledge and skills nationwide. Participants must complete the required courses on Rakyat Digital before they can claim the subscription.
Those who select ILMUchat Pro after completing the training will receive three months of unlimited access. Eligibility is verified through MyDigital ID, Malaysia’s national digital identity system, which is also used to activate the subscription.
The initiative was first announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in July during the launch of AI Malaysia in Cyberjaya, alongside the National AI Action Plan 2026-2030.
To claim the offer, eligible Malaysians need to log in to Rakyat Digital, complete the required courses and select ILMUchat Pro from their dashboard. They will then be redirected to the ILMUchat login page to activate the three-month subscription using MyDigital ID.
ILMUchat is designed to support communication in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese and Manglish, with applications ranging from education and job applications to drafting documents, creating presentations and developing app prototypes without coding.
