The Negeri Sembilan government has reaffirmed its full support and loyalty to Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, amid a statement issued by the Undang Yang Empat.
Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim said he took note of the statement dated Sept 5, adding that any views expressed by the traditional rulers were their right.
He stated his priority remained discharging his responsibilities as Menteri Besar in the interests of the people and the state.
“I take note of the statement issued by the Undang Yang Empat on Sept 5. Whatever views they express are their right.
“My focus now is to carry out my responsibilities as Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan in the interests of the people and the state,” he shared in a statement today.
The statement was issued following the circulation of a letter and announcement concerning a proclamation under Article 10 of the Constitution of Negeri Sembilan 1959.
The proclamation reportedly called on the state administration to comply with a purported proclamation concerning the abdication of Tuanku Muhriz.
