The public portion of the IPO comprised 17.345 million new shares, representing about 5% of Pioneer Heat’s enlarged issued share capital.
Demand was particularly strong for the Bumiputera portion, which attracted 5,142 applications for 506.08 million shares, translating into an oversubscription rate of 57.35 times.
The other Malaysian public portion received 4,370 applications for 340.4 million shares, representing an oversubscription rate of 38.25 times.
Pioneer Heat’s IPO comprises a public issue of 86.7 million new ordinary shares and an offer for sale of 17.345 million existing shares.
Of the new shares, 10.407 million shares allocated to eligible individuals were fully subscribed. Another 58.948 million new shares allocated through private placement to selected investors were fully placed out, together with 17.345 million existing shares offered for sale.
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Wong Wei Ken said the strong response reflected confidence in the group’s specialised capabilities, operating track record and growth plans.
“We are encouraged by the positive response from investors to our IPO. This support reflects confidence in Pioneer Heat’s specialised capabilities, operating track record and growth plans as we move closer towards our listing on the ACE Market,” he said.
Pioneer Heat provides mechanical engineering services across the lifecycle of industrial plants, including new plant construction, maintenance, scheduled turnarounds, modifications and refurbishment works.
The group plans to use proceeds from the IPO to strengthen its operational capacity through a new headquarters in Sendayan and a new Sarawak office, as well as invest in additional machinery and equipment.
Wong said the expansion would help Pioneer Heat increase its service capabilities and capture opportunities across Malaysia’s mechanical and civil engineering industries.
Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd is the principal advisor, sponsor, underwriter and placement agent for the IPO.
