ENRA Group Bhd’s indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Hexagon Energy Logistics Sdn Bhd, has signed a pre-joint bidding cooperation agreement with China Offshore Engineering & Technology Co Ltd to jointly prepare and submit a bid for an upcoming floating storage and offloading (FSO) tender in Southeast Asia.
The agreement, signed on Sept 7, establishes a preliminary framework for both parties to work exclusively with each other on the potential bid.
Under the arrangement, Hexagon and China Offshore will negotiate the project’s specific scope of work, pricing and respective responsibilities once the official tender documents are received, with the final terms to be set out in a separate definitive agreement.
The collaboration is expected to combine Hexagon’s experience in operating FSO vessels with China Offshore’s expertise in their construction and commissioning.
ENRA President and Group CEO Tan Sri Kamaluddin Abdullah said the agreement gives both parties a framework to assess how their respective capabilities could be combined for the potential opportunity.
The agreement remains preliminary and largely non-binding, and does not require either party to submit a bid, sign a definitive agreement or proceed with any transaction.
