The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting five states until 1pm today.
The warning covers the whole of Perlis, with several districts in Kedah, Perak, Selangor and Johor also expected to be affected.
In Kedah, the areas under the warning are Langkawi, Kubang Pasu and Kota Setar, while in Perak they include Kerian, Larut Matang and Selama, Manjung and Bagan Datuk.
For Selangor, the affected areas are Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor and Klang.
The warning in Johor covers Pontian, Kulai, Johor Bahru and Kota Tinggi.
MetMalaysia issued the warning as thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to affect the areas during the stated period.
